NASWUG-RSA June 2014 Meeting Announcement

The North Alabama SolidWorks Users Group (NASWUG) is proud to announce our June 2014 NASWUG meeting. The meeting will be held Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Redstone Lanes.
We invite you to join us as we will be seeing various SolidWorks Tips & Tricks presented by some of our users!  Some of the topics to be covered:
  • SolidWorks Assembly Visualization
  • Using SolidWorks SpeedPak to help work with large assemblies
  • How eDrawings is being used on the Arsenal for drawing markup in a paperless release cycle utilizing SolidWorks Enterprise PDM.
Lunch will be provided and door prizes will be given away at the conclusion of the event.

NASWUG May 2014 Meeting Announcement

The North Alabama SolidWorks Users Group (NASWUG) is proud to announce our May 2014 NASWUG meeting. The meeting will be held Thursday May 22, 2014 from 5:15pm to 7:30pm at the Dynetics Solutions Complex.

Please join us as take a look at two SolidWorks products that can help increase your productivity:
  • Timothy Holman, Application Engineer with Concepts In Production will demonstrate how SolidWorks Inspection can help users streamline and automate the creation of ballooned inspection drawings and inspection reports for both First Article Inspection (FAI) and in-process inspection.
  • Michael Burks, Application Engineer with MLC CAD Systems, will give us a look at SolidWorks Enterprise PDM (EPDM), SolidWorks’ full-featured data management solution.

The meeting will be held Thursday, April 24, 2014, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Redstone Bowling Lanes on the grounds of the Redstone Arsenal. image002Please join us as Earl Hasz, Technical Sales Expert with SolidWorks, and Keith Steiner, SolidWorks Electrical Product Manager with ModernTech, will be presenting SolidWorks Electrical.  Come and see how this engineering tool takes the design and documentation of electrical systems to the next level.

Please be sure to invite your electrical engineering counterparts to this meeting!  The real-time integration of intelligent schematics and wiring harnesses with SolidWorks 3D CAD models and assemblies will be demonstrated.

April 2014 NASWUG Meeting Announcement – Special Guest Marie Planchard!

The North Alabama SolidWorks Users Group (NASWUG) is proud to announce our April 2014 NASWUG meeting. The meeting will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2014, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Dynetics Corporate Headquarters Building.  (This location is directly across the driveway from our usual meeting location at the Solutions Complex.)

We have a very special guest this month!  Marie Planchard, Director of Education Community at SolidWorks, will present “The SolidWorks Community Keeps Growing”.  This presentation will look at how the synergy between commercial users, educators, and students continues to strengthen the SolidWorks community and how My SolidWorks and SolidWorks Certification are playing a role to make users’ SolidWorks skills stronger.

Please join us for a presentation on SolidWorks Simulation given by Dan Wilson, Simulation Product Specialist at ModernTech Corporation.  Dan will show a comparison between the analysis features in SolidWorks Premium and SolidWorks Simulation Professional.  Following that will be a demonstration of the optimization features of SolidWorks Simulation showing how users can maintain the integrity and strength of their designs while reducing weight and costs.

NASWUG-RSA September 2013 Meeting Announcment

The North Alabama SolidWorks Users Group (NASWUG) is proud to announce our September 2013 NASWUG-RSA meeting. The meeting will be held Thursday July 26, 2013 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Redstone Bowling Lanes on the grounds of the Redstone Arsenal. Please join us for a presentation on model-based definition and tolerance analysis.  We will look at how DimXpert can be used for model-based definition and to prepare part models for conversion to drawings or for use in TolAnalyst™ tolerance studies.  We will then look at how TolAnalyst™ can be used to automatically check the effects of tolerances on parts and assemblies to ensure consistent fit of components and to verify tolerancing schemes before a product goes into production.

The North Alabama SolidWorks Users Group (NASWUG) is proud to announce our August 2013 NASWUG meeting. The meeting will be held Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 5:00pm to 7:30pm at the Dynetics Corporate Headquarters Building.  (Note that this is the alternate meeting location across the street from our normal meeting location.)
